Hey there! this is me
After all where else would I be
Sitting at the table
Staring at the wall
My mind is blank
And my sheet without a scrawl!
A designer am I
Or so I’ve been told
And ideas must flow
Till I grow old!!
I draw a square and call it a hall
Wait a minute…
But I’m designing a mall!
I should start on the lobby
Or the restaurant maybe
Because where there’s food
There is the college brood.
The shops, the toilets and the rest
Where is the placing best?
Should it be here or should it be there?
Dear God please show me where!
It’s all very confusing
I wonder what is missing
The staircase railing perhaps
(That could cause a lot of mishaps!!!)
To find the perfect place
ormal;">For the tiniest space
Takes all week and more
Till my brain is numb
And my back is sore.
Though I work all through the day
Still up through the night I’ll have to stay.
Sitting at the table
Staring at the wall
My mind still blank
My sheet yet without a scrawl.
In the bus was I
Sitting by the window
Watching the world go by
Adoring the little bird on the tree,
The fruits, the leaves and the bumble bee.
My thoughts zoomed into just the leaf
Gazing at the perfect design in disbelief.
The veins, the midrib, the xylem and phloem
God knew exactly where to place them.
Each and every detail however small
In just a day He made them all.
The Master designer is He
Who knows where everything should be.
The lobby, the bedroom and the loo
He will know just what to do
I put my trust in the great I am
Who will help me design the highest dam
Because the master designer is He
for in his perfect plan is “me!!!”
I have nothing to fear
Because He holds me so dear
Oh isn’t that grand
Of Him in awe I stand
