Esperanza is neither Greek nor Latin. Esperanza is Spanish for ‘Hope’. Without ‘Hope’, life loses its meaning and the message of our Lord is all about Hope. A Hope for tomorrow, hope when we walk through the life's valleys and finally the hope of Glory when we leave this earth.
Esperanza started off as the first Christmas program conducted by Sishya at Music Academy in Dec 2007.
We could not think of a better Christmas gift for the people of Chennai than presenting them with the Hope that is found in the Lord Jesus Christ.
With a vibrant stage setup, lights, music, dance, drama, choreography, real life experiences, worship and messages it had a similar feel of a musical.
Esperanza 2007 was anchored around the conversation between Peter (disciple of Jesus) and Mathias. The musical had various instances about Hope enacted from the Bible like the healing of the blind beggar named Bartimaeus, the life changing experience of Mary Magdalene when she encountered Jesus Christ and the raising of Lazarus from the dead. God touched many a lives at the end of the show and many committed their lives to the Lord.
Esperanza was also performed at Karunya Institute, Coimbatore and at the annual summer camp ‘Summer Tree’08’.
Jesus is never too late for any situation. This Jesus is the same even today! You still have Hope.
